iSonali

Dear People and Dolls,
I am so sorry that I have missed out iSonali #7. We were busy with the movie and other end of year school bits and bobs. iSonali #8 will come out tomorrow or hopefully today. So will (definitely today) part 2 of 7 and maybe part 3 of 7 from 'A New Tomorrow'. Here's the sneek of what's planned for iSonali #8.

Sonali talks and discusses about the new movie and how this is a change in her family. She tells us all about what the stars look like on 'The Red Carpet' and displays some pictures. One, only one, secret is told about the movie from actress Lucy C. and who came up with the idea of using hit tune 'My Wish' by Rascal Flatts as the movie theme song. All of this, you'll find out in iSonali #8.
Lotsa Love Sonali xoxo

New Book for me (Maddie)!

G1341_main_1.jpg (250×250)Hi, I'm Madelyn. 12 years old. 13 in June. Brown hair. Brown eyes. Was shipped to Sonali, Lucy and Em on the 9th of December 2009. Arrived next afternoon. Love nature. Peace Out! Anyway, I'm going to be ordering an awesome AG book. It's fairly new, or at least has the 'new' sign written on it. It's called Secrets at Camp Nokomis: A Rebecca Mystery! by Jacqueline Dembar Greene and illustrated by Jean-Paul Tibbles. I've heard that it has got really good reviews. On the AG website (http://www.americangirl.com) it has been rated 4.7 /5! Which is pretty good, I think. This is what american girl publishing wrote about the book.

Rebecca loves everything about summer camp, but making friends turns out to be harder than she expected. What secret is her bunkmate hiding—and why? When camp pranks start getting out of hand and a girl goes missing, Rebecca is determined to find out what’s really going on. Available in March.

Sound so cool, Bye xx

Thursday 22 April 2010

Hello,
Today was Earth Day, April 22nd 2010! I love this day, in fact this day should be EVERYDAY!
I have some things to say and some pictures to show. Firstly, I believe peace, love, happiness, and our earth are pretty much the most important things in our life.
1. Nobody can live without peace, it is so important to have plenty of PEACE.
2. Love, it is there all the time. You love your family, your friends and many more. LOVE.
3. Everyone needs to be happy to bring a heart-warming smile on each of our faces. HAPPINESS.
4. Our earth is where we live, where we will always live, and we should take care of our world or else it won't last as long as it can go. Earth day just reminds us how important our earth really is. EARTH.
These are some very important pictures...
This is one of my favourite quotes:
Peace does not mean to be in a place
where there is no noise, trouble or
hard work. It means to be in the midst
of those things and still be calm in your heart.

It's a lovely, meaningful line. I believe, if your old enough to understand it, it can make a difference, and for me it has made a difference. Which is exactly what Earth Day is all about. Making a difference. And Earth Day should be every day. Lotsa Love Sonali xoxo

Summer Sunday Soft Drink #1

Hi, this is my first FruityFridays recipe. I made this today.
It's called 'Summer Sunday Soft Drink'

Makes 5
You will need:
Half an orange
2 table spoons of orange juice
3 purple grapes
1 quarter of an apple
5 small schnapps plastic glasses
Method:
1. Hand squeeze your orange in a small bowl; which will roughly make 50ml.
2. Mix with 2 table spoons (tbsps) of orange juice; which adds up to 70ml.
3. Cut 3 thin slices of your quarter apple and slice again (just eat 1 of your mini slices and the rest of your apple as part of 5-a-day).
4. Cut 3 purple grapes in half.
5. Pour 2 tbsps of your orange mixture into each glass.
6. Cut in a bit of your apple slices and put in-between inside and outside of the glasses (see picture for a better idea).
7. Plop one grape in each mini glass (you will have 1 'half-grape' left over, so eat that aswell).
8. Place in the fridge when not dreating (drinking and eating).
Yummy!

Fruity Fridays!

Hello,
I'm new to this blogging thing, but anyhow. I'm Emily Bennett, but you can call me Em (I'm Sonali's sister). Well, I love to cook and bake; especially fruity snacks. So, I thought I would show you people how I make all of my sort-of-created-by-me recipes. Every Friday I will post a recipe on how to make fruity snacks. We have decided this will be called FruityFridays. There will be an extra page on our list below the header. By the way: I'm English so I might sound a bit posh; I was brought up like that. Also, to make it a bit more fun and frothy, I'm letting you people tell me some ideas or even sending me a recipe which I will try out and might adapt.  I can not wait to hear from you.

I Love Spring!

Hi Chicks (ha!ha!),
Today I went to a lovely farm called "Wimpole Farm"!
I saw many cute Spring animals which were just adorable,
here are some pics I took.
If you have watched the first iSonali you will see that I love
lambs; I still have those lamb slippers (not 'real' lamb)!

Did you like them? I think the last
picture of the sheep was funny. What
happened to his/her's horns?

Really Sweet!

Hi,
Yesterday I went onto a doll website called
It's English and sells some cute doll clothing.
I found this really cute White Ruffle T-Shirt for only £4.50.
This is what it looks like, by the way: It doesn't come with the flipflopps and leggings.
So cute!!! Isn't it?
Anyway, I'm probably going to
save up for it.
(WHAT YOU HAVE READ
WAS COMPLETELY
RANDOM!)

Easter Doll Chocolate Cake (From iSonali #6)!

Finally I've had time, anyway here's the recipe
Ingredients:
280g Caster Sugar
20g Cocoa Powder
40g Self-raising flour
1 Large Egg
1 Table spoon of milk (tbsp)
60g Melted Butter
A pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 180 Degrees or 350 Fahrenheit
Method:
1. Mix together sugar, flour, salt and cocoa in a large mixing bowl.
2. Beat your egg and milk, add together with the melted butter.
3. Add the egg, milk and melted butter mixture to your dry mixture.
4. Mix everything well (not with an electronic mixer) until your final mixture looks like a dark brown, gooey, sort of like choco mousse.
5. Choose small (not quite doll sized, but lets say 'mini') cake mold.
This is the human version of what we used...

And then the shape of the cake look like this... (but not the same colours, these pics are off the internet)

6. Fill the mold as full as you want (btw: it will rise). Some of the mixture may be left over, depends.
7. Your oven should be at 180 Degrees or 350 Fahrenheit.
8. Leave your cake in the oven for 20 - 30 minutes, depends. Tip: Maybe at 25 minutes you should take the cake out and check the inside!
9. Let cool for 10 - 15 minutes and then decorate with icing sugar and sprinkles, put some Cadbury's Mini Eggs on top to make it extra Easterish!
Oh, and if you don't know what the mini eggs are, this is what they look like...
Anyway, so that is the recipe. If you have any questions please do comment (btw: you do not need a blogspot or any type of website account, and I promise not to give out any email addresses "pinky swear")

iSonali #6

Hi,
It's me Sonali! I just wanted to let you know that iSonali 6# is coming out very soon. I was going to do a Valentines Special, but I was very busy. So, I decided to do an Easter Party Preparation Special which will include fun ideas and lots of laughter. Emily said to me that I have to dress up as an Easter bunny. I thought I would look demented like that!!! No way San Jose!! But, then when I made/ got the outfit, it wasn't too bad. Except I look pretty chubby and ... lets say LARGE-ISH in it.
Moving on ... this is the list or will be the list of what is in iSonali #6

  • How to make a cute Easter cake!
  • How to make a tasty Easter drink! (I might cut this one)
  • What to use for AG sized Easter eggs!
  • How to draw cute bunny and cute deco!
I hope you like the ideas I have for iSonali. If you look at the date I posted it you will realize when I'm filming/ filmed it. So, I'm filming it on Sunday, if not then I don't know when, well, I should do!! If not, NAUGHTY ME!!!

Well, I think I should post this now so bye bye
Sonali Matthews xoxo
btw: I'm gonna write longer posts!

Sunday 7 February 2010

Hello,
Sonali  here,
We need help!
What should we do for  iSonali #6?
  • Nothing snowy cuz' there's no more snow left.
  • Nothing musical, thats why we have LucyLive.
  • No slide shows.
  • Nothing to do with "The Blue Girls"
Maybe I could do a cooking video with Emily or a showing of how to make something? What do you think? Please post a comment for which one I should do!

Love Sonali xoxo

Please Comment!!! xx

Happy Birthday Petra and Julie,
I hope you have a wonderful time!
Love Lucy, Sonali, Maddie, Emily xoxo
